Mathematics Corner

This school year, Grades Kindergarten through Second grade will be using a new math curriculum titled Bridges.  Grades Three through Five will continue to use the Baltimore County curriculum which incorporates EnVision materials alongside BCPS materials. Both curriculums will focus on grade level content standards and are being used during both synchronous and asynchronous math instruction.  In addition to the curriculum, Kindergarten through Fifth grade will be using a couple of new programs.  Number Corner is a daily program where students will work on skills such as number concepts, patterns, computational fluency and problem solving. This daily workout is a whole group synchronous lesson that takes 15-20 minutes. Students will also be using an asynchronous program called First In Math. This is completely online and students practice addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts as well as several other math activities independently. Students should be on First in Math about 15 minutes a day to practice these skills. All of our curriculum will help our learners to be more successful in math.
